We’re grateful to Technology Alberta for the FIRST Jobs Program. Not only did it provide access to young and local tech talent, we learned a lot from the overall experience of integrating new team members. As a small start-up, it showed us the capacity needed to onboard new people and develop meaningful work. Additionally, it gave us insight into what’s involved in people learning our tech and becoming familiar enough to work on and create with our software and devices.

The funding through Technology Alberta is very helpful for a company in our stage of growth. It allows us to hire additional staff for our routine work and provides onsite job training for the students. It’s a win-win situation for the employer, universities, and the students. This also led us to hire one of our students full-time after graduation. She has been a critical team member and helped us build the company from our earliest stages
